General Information

SLT helps individuals with communication, speech, language, and swallowing difficulties due to neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s, or brain injury.

I provide therapy for neurological conditions, including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, brain injury, and dementia.

Sessions can be held in your home, a care setting, work setting, café or online via teletherapy, depending on your needs and location.

No referral is needed. You can contact me directly to book an initial assessment.

You must have a recent report from Ear Nose and Throat service (within 6 months). Please liaise with your GP for a referral to the Ear Nose and Throat team.

Assessment & Therapy

The first session is all about getting to know you, your challenges, goals, and lifestyle.

  • For communication: We explore how clearly you speak, understand, find words, express your thoughts, and use writing or reading skills. 
  •  For swallowing: We discuss your medical history and eating/drinking habits, observe mealtimes or drinks and talk through any difficulties you’ve noticed. 
 This session is friendly, personalised, and at your pace, so you feel comfortable throughout.

Sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, but this may vary based on individual needs.

The number of sessions depends on your goals and progress. We will regularly review and adjust your therapy plan. Therapy packages are offered following an initial appointment.

Yes, personalised exercises and strategies are provided to help you continue progress between sessions.

Prices are dependent on individual requirements. Please contact us on 07539966841 or info@novaspeechtherapy.co.uk to discuss prices. Payment is requested at the time of booking.

Yes, we are recognised by Aviva, AXA Health, Vitality and WPA.

However, we do not bill insurers directly. If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim reimbursement for your sessions with us. We recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to confirm your level of cover and reimbursement process.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged at the fee quoted for the relevant appointment.
